Unwind: Learn to Knit 2-Day Workshop
Knitting is a unique craft that reduces anxiety and brings joy and comfort. If you’ve ever wanted to start knitting, but were uncomfortable trying on your own, then join us for this group series and learn together!
Included in this 2-part workshop:
- Casting on and off
- Knit Stitch
- Purl Stitch
- Introduction to combination stitches and patterns
- A simple hat and scarf pattern as well as instructional handouts
- One skein of yarn and one set of knitting needles
- Resources on how to use your new knitting skills to help others

Dates: Wednesdays, February 12th and 19th from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Location: McCandless/Northern Allegheny Heritage Center
Cost: $15 to cover the cost of materials.
