Shining Star Gala
The McCandless/Northern Allegheny Heritage and Cultural Center is proud to continue the Shining Star Awards in 2026, honoring volunteers who have made significant impact in our community. Past Shining Star Award winners have included volunteers who have strengthened our community through service, philanthropists who support community improvement, and changemakers who have spent countless hours in service to others.
The 2026 Shining Star Gala will be held the evening of Friday, November 6th at the Camelot Events Center in Wexford.
Funds raised at the Shining Star Gala benefit the operations and programming at the McCandless/Northern Allegheny Heritage and Cultural Center. The HCC’s Financial Development and Promotional Committee will select 8 award recipients for the 2026 Shining Star Awards with an awards dinner to be held in the fall. All nominations will be considered and will be kept for future consideration.
Nominations are now open for 2026! Click here for the online submission form. Paper forms are available upon request at Town Hall or the HCC.
