Overview

The Town of McCandless Personnel Board is made up of five qualified electors of the Town, appointed by Council, to serve overlapping three-year terms. Council may also appoint two alternate members to the board.

The Personnel Board has the following powers and duties to: make a listing of eligible police applicants with numerical rating scores, conduct hearings and hear appeals requested by non-probationary police officers on matters related to employment or promotions, and provide such other advice and assistance on police hiring procedure as may be requested by Council or the Town Manager.
